Reliability Engineer
Provide maintenance reliability support and project management services to produce high quality products. Work with staff, local, site, and global management and colleagues to analyze performance data and take action to improve asset utilization. Monitor and analyze repetitive maintenance problems. Facilitate group sessions to determine the root cause for equipment failures and initiate equipment or procedural changes to correct the problem as well as being responsible for change control of maintenance items. Maintain adequate manufacturing and support facilities to produce the highest quality product in a cost-effective manner. Prepare and submit requests for equipment replacements and additions. Assess manufacturing capacity and the need to upgrade facilities to meet regulatory requirements and process improvements. Implement approved equipment upgrade and equipment addition projects. Manage projects to stay within budget and schedule. Facilitate group meetings to rank equipment using the critical equipment matrix. Define the optimum PPM program by facilitating group sessions and developing FMEA’s for the most critical equipment. Prepare, review and approve production records including maintenance procedures, operating procedures, JSA’s, and change requests as required. Interact with maintenance, technicians, and capital project teams on a regular basis to ensure effective communication of production, new equipment purchases, PPM and spare parts development. Develop plans to reduce COGS by continuously improving efficiencies, processing times, reducing labor, material costs, and reducing maintenance costs. Promote waste reduction and recovery projects and incorporate associated operations in applicable manufacturing processes. Work in a safe and responsible manner in order to create an injury-free and incident-free workplace. Comply with all job-related safety and other training requirements.
MS in Engineering or other physical science with 4 years industry related experience. Or BS in related technical field with 6 years industry related experience. Advanced problem solving and troubleshooting skills, specifically root cause and FMEA methodology. Diversified knowledge of multiple engineering specialties – including mechanical, chemical, electrical and civil. Experience managing capital projects. Knowledge of Microsoft Windows applications to include Microsoft Excel; Microsoft Outlook; and Microsoft Access. Experience in maintenance support and/or reliability engineering. Experience with SAP Plant Maintenance a plus.
